Personal Experience

Lauren’s background in tax and trusts and estates, coupled with her knack for client care, makes Lauren ideal for helping clients navigate through tricky situations. Clients enjoy working with Lauren on projects because of her keen eye for detail and her ability to keep projects progressing along, even when the project involves gathering and making sense of large amounts of financial data.

Lauren came to BILTgroup with five years of tax experience. Whether you have individual tax needs, business tax needs, or nonprofit tax needs, Lauren has seen it all. Additionally, Lauren has earned her LL.M. in taxation. Besides her tax experience, Lauren also brings six years of trust and estate experience. Throughout law school and afterward, Lauren worked at a law firm that focused on trust and estate work. Lauren also participated in a mentorship program where she helped to prepare trusts and estates for high-net-worth clients in New York City. Besides helping clients with their trust and estate needs, Lauren also brought her knowledge to the classroom as an adjunct professor in estate planning.

Lauren is a Navy brat and a people person – you’ll find her very easy to talk to. Though settled down in Charleston, South Carolina, Lauren has now lived in nine different states. As she grew up moving around, you’ll find that Lauren fits in easily with most crowds. Besides her tax and legal skills, Lauren also has a creative side. In her spare time, she is an avid baker and (quite skilled) cake decorator.
